1. The Greeting - Welcomed by the Priest

2. The Homily - Meaning and Responsibilities

3. The Marriage Celebration - Individuals questioned:
Q1 - Have you come to give yourself to the other freely and without reservation?
Q2 - Will you love and honour your partner for life?
Q3 - Will you accept children lovingly from God?

4. The Marriage Vows - Couples vow to each other [My favourite part]
I *** do take thee *** to be my lawfully wedded wife/husband, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better for worse, for richer for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death do us part.

5. Acceptance of Consent and Blessing - The priest represents the people of God and Church to accept the vows.

6. Exchange of Rings - Blessed by the Priest

7. Nuptial Blessing - After the "Our Father" - love of man/wife reflects love of Christ
- based on faithful relationship, for all to see.

8. Signing of the Marriage Register
- civic requirements/registrar present
- marriage certificates

hhhh, that took me a while to write - its from my handwritten religious education, gcse book.

Reasons For Marriage:

Constructive channeling of sexuality
Companionship
Security of Children
Good of Society

Problems:
Permanent - divorce occurs
Exclusive - adultery
Life-going - abortion/contraception

Going by the magisterium [authority of the church] - a loving service/guidance, love/sex between partners and responsible parent hood.
